ABOUT OUR PRODUCTS:
Most items we sell are Officially Licensed items made by Van Halen's licensed distributors years ago. Some are official promotional items made by Warner Bros. (Promo posters, promo flats, & promo glossies). Some are authentic original items that are now vintage collectibles (backstage passes, concert posters, etc.). Absolutely nothing we sell is a bootleg, unauthorized reprint, or otherwise illegal item. We do not manufacture, reproduce, or make any Van Halen items. We are simply a retailer that chooses only to specialize in legitimate Van Halen products.

Almost every single thing for sale at VanHalenStore.com is long since out-of-print and is now a very rare, hard to find collectible. (The only things that are still being produced today are the Official CDs, DVDs, tablature books, and the 2007 tour merchandise). So when you see a David Lee Roth poster, a Fair Warning Tour Program, or an old backstage pass, you know that these are 20-year-old authentic items! Every single item we sell, despite it's age, is in mint, brand new condition (except for some posters and tourbooks, where noted). All these out-of-print items are in extremely limited supply. We find it incredible that, considering how old and hard-to-find this stuff is, we have been able to find so many great items and can offer them in one convenient place.

DOES VAN HALEN KNOW ABOUT THIS WEBSITE? DO THEY MAKE MONEY FROM IT?
Of course. When Van Halen's licensed distributors sell Van Halen merchandise to retailers such as VanHalenStore.com, the distributors pay Van Halen their applicable royalties. So Van Halen has received royalties from their licensed distributors for all the officially licensed merchandise that we have for sale.

WHO RUNS VANHALENSTORE.com?
This website is owned and operated by the publisher and staff of The Inside, an all-Van Halen magazine published from 1995 to 2000. We started selling Official Van Halen merchandise in the summer of 1994, and we were one of the very first companies to have an online store, way back in 1995! We have been working with Van Halen and their management for 14 years, and have had numerous contact with Van Halen management and band members. Their management has used some of our ideas in making Official merchandise, and they printed our website address in the liner notes of their two most recent studio albums. We've been interviewed on the DVD documentary, The Van Halen Story: The Early Years. We've interviewed band members several times for The Inside magazine, visited their "5150" recording studio, and even partied with them! Naturally, we are huge VH fans!

MORE ABOUT THE INSIDE VAN HALEN MAGAZINE:
The Inside is an all-Van Halen full color, glossy magazine published by the staff of VanHalenStore.com from 1995 - 2000. Each issue is packed cover to cover with never-before-seen photos, exclusive interviews, and little known info on the Mighty Van Halen! Thousands of people subscribed to it from all over the world, and music stores carried it too. It was, for a few years, Van Halen's official magazine, promoted inside Van Halen's CD liner notes and sold on tour. After the 16th issue of The Inside was published, we stopped producing the magazine and now solely run VanHalenStore.com. All 16 back issues of the magazine are available here.

WHAT WE DO:
For fourteen years we have been providing a service to Van Halen fans by scouring the world for official Van Halen merchandise. We buy from Van Halen's official distributors, or from other dealers or private collectors who have purchased from the official distributors. We buy any & all legally made Van Halen items from all around the world and offer it all to the fans, in one convenient place.

A HISTORY OF VAN HALEN MERCHANDISE:
Van Halen made most of their official merchandise from 1978 to 1985 themselves, through Van Halen Productions. From 1986 to the present day, Van Halen had various licensed distributors produce the merchandise. The vast majority of retailers around the world are long since sold out of the older merchandise. All the shirts, posters, etc. that were mass-produced in the '80s and '90s are truly vintage collectibles now! In fact, most VH merchandise that we sell is so rare & hard to find that they could even be looked at as investments if kept in good condition, as their value will almost certainly continue to climb in years to come. Inevitably, we too will be sold out of all this stuff. So if you see something you like, we recommend that you order it now, because it is unlikely that we will ever be able to restock it once it is gone.

DO YOU HAVE A PAPER CATALOG?
No. We stopped publishing paper catalogs several years ago, since we regularly sell out of items and we are often add items to our store. Our website is always up-to-date, whereas a paper catalog would be out-of-date and inaccurate.

CAN I VISIT YOUR STORE IN PERSON?
No, we are mail-order only.

TAXES - Do I have to pay sales tax on my order?
Only Arizona state residents (USA) must pay standard state sales tax on their order, which will be automatically calculated when you order. If you don't live in Arizona, you pay absolutely NO sales tax.

IS IT SAFE TO ORDER BY CREDIT CARD?
This is a SECURE site and your information is protected. Credit card numbers are encrypted and all data is stored in a secure database protected by a firewall. The transmission of this data is also secure. In our entire 14 year history, we have never had a case where a customer's credit card information or any other personal information has become compromised.

DO YOU SHARE MY INFORMATION WITH ANY ONE?
None of your information will ever be shared with another company.

MY CREDIT CARD WAS DECLINED. WHY?
If your credit declines, you will see a message at the top of the checkout screen. Retailers (like VanHalenStore.com, or any store, really) are not given reasons why a credit card declines. We suggest checking to be sure your credit card number & expiration date are correctly typed. After that, the fastest way to see what is wrong is to call the credit card customer support number on the back of your card.

WEBSITE ERRORS - My browser is giving me website errors when I try to order. What is the problem?
VanHalenStore.com is best viewed with the latest version of microsoft internet explorer. We highly suggest you use IE when viewing this page. In order to use our Secure Checkout process, like 95% of all online stores, you must have cookies enabled in your browser. Occasionally problems can also be caused by having too high a browser security setting, or by having a vastly outdated browser on your system. T-SHIRTS - What are they made out of? How do the sizes run?
All van Halen shirts are good quality, 100% cotton, pre-shrunk shirts. The specific brand they are printed on varies, but Van Halen only uses good quality shirts. The sizes are pretty standard, and run the same size as most other standard-sized shirts. Note that for every shirt we sell, the measurements in inches are shown right next to teh description of the shirt.
